Drivers killed as buses colide on Chuadanga road

Three people were killed and at least 10 injured in a head-on collision between two buses in Chuadanga’s Damurhuda upazila on Saturday.

The deceased are Purbasha Paribahan’s driver Shanto Mia, Darshana Deluxe’s driver Dulal Hossain and a passenger Aroj Ali.

The injured were rushed to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital.

Deputy director of Chuadanga fire station, Rafiqul Islam told Prothom Alo the collision occurred on Damurhuda-Jibonnagar highway due to dense fog.

The drivers of both buses died on the spot, he added.

Officer-in-charge of Damurhuda police station, Liakat Hossain, has confirmed the accident.
